Midnight on The Open Ocean
What if we simply are (or ride) ships in the night, each solving our own existential crisis on a night when no one can work? This night is ever present- a terror, a pain, a despair, a worry, a rest- we shape it 'neath moonlight with rudders on surf like near-blind amateur surgeons. The passing lights and sounds of what just might be a greeting, however, filter through that it is the same equation we face on each our own vessel. It may very well be that, in a glimpse, even one so remote, we comprehend that, even here, we are not alone.
