Doctor Who- 8.7 "Kill The Moon"
I just realized this episode was not complete nonsense as I first thought, but seems like a particularly on the nose tipping of the hand. In "Kill The Moon" the moon gains mass and the earth is thrown into chaos by the change. While the show is known for its liberties with currently known science, often walking the line of "any sufficiently advanced technology will seem like magic" by seeming to just do what they would like and assuming science will catch up or that the user will fill in or dismiss the gaps, it feels like I glimpsed this time where those gaps lie. So the science enthusiast in me immediately scoffed, since objects cannot simply gain mass without a source, but just recently I considered "what if that source is outside of our universe "Tell me no one was in there" "I could, but that wouldn't make it true."
