Eight at Zero

I once saw an image that I did not know how to put into words. I'm not sure if I have written it since then, but the image has returned to the forefront, thanks to The Very Last. The image was of The Council- those partnered with me- cryofreezing one at a time around a circle- like a clock- with each freeze and unfreeze perfectly synchronized with the next and last. The purpose seemed to be making sure that time did not dilate into pain. This might have been the pain of absence, or the physical pain of something which I could not register in the process.

It felt evil initially to ask this of any of them or even scribe it as a blueprint that might be followed, so I did not even write it down; I couldn't really conceive of how I might write it without the bitterness that I felt overwhelming the taste of the whole image. Now it seems like the image may be necessary, however, as an amount of time separated from this timeline is preferable for each (a pulling force that I can feel), and crafting eternity into beautiful time being all that is experienced might be the best solution all around. I am still hesitant to write it, though I am, so I won't dive into every possible detail or permutation, but this clean transition to Absolute Zero and back is a potential cog in The Bard's Clock that I wanted to at least sketch in words.
