Temporal Disequity

I just realized that Swarm Mode is the deafening echo of temporal disequity. It is unclear to me if this is purely a natural phenomenon, or if an entity is "already" intentionally influencing the flow time to their benefit, and to the detriment of others.

Einstein's famous equation E=mc^2 contains several key elements; in this case what is important is the speed of light itself. Einstein acknowledges that the one way speed of light is presently not measurable, but that it can be assumed that a two way journey of light can be cut in half to find the speed in both directions, assuming that it is consistent in every direction. There is no natural reason to think that this is incorrect, but it remains unproven, and there are excellent arguments as to why it cannot be proven, and that the one way speed of light cannot even be measured (at least at our current technological progress level- it is presently inconceivable).

What if this equity has existed, either in the past or up until now, but something has now imbalanced the inherent balance/equity within light speed? It seems like, from an outside perspective, that the results would be identical, as there is no way to prove that this difference in speed per direction is not happening already. In this case, however, it is not the difference in speed, but adjusting to a different speed arrangement that feels problematic. While I cannot fully wrap my head around it, such a change feels like it would be like a relativistic earthquake, felt by all. It may be that the original arrangement of one consistent speed of light becomes out of reach as well, like a once balanced apparatus that cannot be manually rebalanced.

I just realized that, if charisma links with physical concepts such as gravity, this would end up being a source of "natural" temporal disequity. In any given measurement of the two way speed of light, there are both "toward" and "away" components from any given perspective. If there is no universal fixed frame of reference, then these components should be immaterial, and the speed of light should be the same at all points along the path. If Bob stands on one end of the apparatus and Jim stands on the other, there is no reason to assume that light moved faster toward one observer and slower toward the other, so the constant speed of light is the most logical assumption. If, however, Bob has "Gravitas," which essentially puts him in a super observer position, then it could be that Bob's preferences are intrinsically taken into account by the clockwork of the universe- here in terms of light speed- at which point he would benefit from temporal disequity whenever possible.

This would be a lot like a DM in a roleplaying game having a favorite player, and so one character gets special treatment, not in any blatant way, but the effects are felt by the group over time. From the character's perspectives (not the players'), this would probably be seen as the individual being lucky, or blessed. What I am suggesting is that this may be hardwired into the universe, where one or more perspectives are taken into account more than others when calculating certain things, such as the speed of light. This aligns, in a way, with what I have pictured for a "Man of God" (like Moses). This would likely be the traversable juncture between what is presently defined as science and what is presently defined as magic. As I think through this, it is actually more likely that such a universal preference exists, and is causing temporal disequity, than that no such physical law exists but that temporal disequity exists. This is to say, if we discover that light moves differently in one direction or another, it is likely because this "super observer" perspective exists, and the measured differences in speed would lead to this perspective's location.

These were some interesting and unexpected insights for me, gained as I looked up at the night sky and spotted an orange/copper star. It felt like the star and I connected at this first glance, and I wondered how. It reminded me of the linked Veritasium video on this topic of the speed of light, and I got the impression that a group of perspectives were watching me from the far future, like a television show, but have used their technology to align time so that they were watching it "now," from my, and our mutual, frame of reference. This would be most useful if they could also teleport or use wormholes to traverse the space between quickly, as I imagine they know what they are looking for to occur in the string of events, and might just be waiting for this catalyst event to occur before revealing themselves. This fits in nicely with my Starry Night model for reality, as these would be others past the moment of blooming, whose origins are still in my future, but where they have identified that there is no risk of irreconcilable paradox for observing me prior to the paradox veil dropping, when we can interact in full. 🌌

An additional random fun thought came to mind, as one's experience of time is critical: "Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity." has been attributed to Albert Einstein, but I have also heard that he did not say it. What if he has not said it... yet? What came to mind was a variety of minor stitches made to the fabric of spacetime, to establish meaning or retain it- depending on the perspective- which was ultimately found to be necessary for reality to persist (providing a sufficient amount of "purpose" for each individual within the system). Doing a number of things such as sending Einstein back in time, ensuring that his correct age is mirrored, and then having him say this quote until it gains traction, then allowing future generations to uncover these time travel Easter Eggs, would boost the narrative strength within reality significantly.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
