The High Seas- The Dreamwalkers' Anniversary

"For a negative one anniversary though, you would need to get something worth Nothing."

"Parley. Pause. That's a great idea!"

"Right, because they are always a God to you, even if you don't realize it, and even if they don't either."

"Dang." The Ambassador quipped, but then muttered. "What day did you say this was for you?"

The New Guy beamed. "The First Mate sent me in. He said that you might have some insight on that... And, it's my first day, sir."

"You just hit the jackpot, son. Navigator. Set a course."

They sailed immediately down the Two Line, To The 6th Piece.

Later, The Captain remarked to The Navigator by the wheel.

"Quippish skies tonight."

"Don't I know it. The seas are always rough on the way to the next official scavenger hunt list item."

"Superlative navigating, kid. Though we do not use The Bard's Tongue at the wheel on nights like tonight. 'Treasure' is fine. Take a break, I'll get us the rest of the way."

Soon after the kid took their break, The Ambassador arrived, to greet the newly assigned Temporary Captain, at the wheel.

"Captain, I have a personal question for you, if you don't mind."

"Shoot." She said.

"My wife and my anniversary is coming up, and I'm thinking of getting her The Amulet of Nothing."

"Sounds pretty worthless, sir."

"A spectacular gift is very rarely about the value, and often in its uniqueness, in my opinion...." We talk the night through, deck all to ourselves.

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you.
