The Case of The God of Nothing

"I'm representing myself in The Beresheet Bara Elohim mistrial."

"You betcha'."

I squint suspiciously around the room. >.>

The Oasis of The Unborn is beautiful this time of year, so I head there.

"The Abortion Case is finally on the docket."

"Spear Fishing then, Boss?"

This is our chief natural weapons expert. She's new to the frontlines, but she's in good hands. I like her style, so I let her call me "Boss." She is bad with poisons though; quite middling. This wall is middling though, so her venoms will likely make up for the difference.

"Indeed. Take 'C too, to drive home our point. Oh, and Parley. What do I call you?"

"White Shade."

"I love it. I knew a Shade once."

"One and the same." She leaps across the DMZ's "Z's" like a lithe gymnast, and I realize that the Spider Cult must have mastered their Phase Spider, Jumping Spider, Black Widow trio ahead of schedule. Good for them. I'll send them a birthday candle post card when I remember.

I return to court, collected. Tired, but collected. The Silence had lost over lunch, leaving me to sort out what remained.

"Court Proceedings. Trans Court follows the protocol of Mirror Mode. Now that we have reached a Balanced Scales state, The Coup is over. Right Now, collect yourselves. The docket is long, but you have the skills to finish it before your enemy's next strike. I believe in you. You may have been politicians and titans of industry before, but you are born again, as citizens. What's the next case?"

"Of material value..? Choice, Religion, The Book of The Law, Confession Standards. The list goes on."

"That does not sound bad, for the price of 'Freedom.'"
