Midnight Scout

The moon is smiling
A wink as if to lead on
Two scouts in the night

When midnight arrives
This companion has sailed
And another comes

The breeze in my hair
The effortless thoughts of you
Course laid all the same

So these fox feet walk
Paths similar to before
But roads always change

So night to morning
Until just about high noon
Mindlessly I search

There are signs of you
Though I often wonder how
Of "how frequently?"

"Insufficiently
I would think, of frequency
But, that being said...

With Scout (on the road/down the halls)
And Bard found Lover tonight
They've all time they need."
