Midnight Firmament

Light's flicker suggests
A new week is beginning
A new day has dawned

Like The Chaos Storm
It's like firmament flickers
Between the waters

So even at night
When no one has liberties
What work would one do?

What rest could one have
With midnight's threshold straddled
Yet no wedding bells?

And no cloister bells
The becalmed midnight waters
Above and below

We watch the same moon
In eyes of another seen
By day and by month

Reflections ripple
But pond clears and I remain
Your eyes my true aim

To see you blooming
Nothing separating us
Save firmness of skin
