Reborn

Contemplating birth
In context of (this world)(darkest hours)
Born and born again

Past not repeating
Though it insists on itself
Hollow like a ghost

This time not hopeless
Though my hope looks far away
She has a home here

The minutes go by
To remember half the time
Feels a worser fate

I remember sparks
Like the feeling at first sight
And recognition

Not some vain prestige
But a single pair of eyes
Lighting in the night

So I'll count out loud
Misguided, ill instructed
But hearts magnetic

These polarized ends
Measured by each line written
Time their flips just right
