Illogically Unfailing Love

Thank you for raising me right
Setting my foundation on stone from early days
An unwavering defender of faith

Thank you for giving me freedom of thought
Loosly tempering my youthful enthusiasm
Without chaining my wild style

Thank you for all the times you helped me
After saying you would not
When I deserved no aid

For the fearful nights you joined me
Despite the storm of demons in my wild eyes
To see me see the morning

For the subtle seeds you plant
Perhaps not even knowing when you do
The humble gardener

Do you carry hope to reap what you've sown?

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,

“when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes.
New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills" (Amos 9:13)

In this winter may the Lord bless you for the love you have always shown me. May you be kept warm by the fire built from every thing you've done for me and others, that was never required of you.

In the summer may you shine brightly, your story told and your name honored everywhere it is heard. May your blessings overflow such that all who find you are joyfully given as much as they can carry, and still you have more than you could ever need.

May your days be filled with eager eared conversation, and may your nights be your own to do as you please.

Has a bloomer more late ever been seen? And so the Lord has blessed me with enduring patience and illogically unfailing love, in mom form.
