The Rogue and The Chest

Hoped you I would stop?
Or did you hope I would stay?
With firm persistence?

You cannot be claimed
Your walls are unbreachable
Save when intended

Your shine unfaded
My winning smile returning
As threads draw them close

Undeterrable
Except when I choose to be
Running like water

My eyes narrowing
Cheeks blooming red like your lips
As each slides closer

Dare you to switch sides?
Suddenly a deja vu
Makes me think we've tried

I'm okay right here
With the chests flying open
At just the right touch

Paths slide into place
Impossible odds no more
As the end game calls
