Unexpected Laugh

His laugh echoing
Through otherwise joyous halls
Once thought to be dead

It is not the tone
And it is not the cadence
But the reasoning

A pleasant surprise
A singular occurrence
In this well mapped place

It is not the last
The dominos are all set
For cascading joy

Chuckles and giggles
Whispering secret smiles
Sudden piercing "Ha!"s

An unlikely source
The only one yet untamed
Choosing love to war

He could not be beat
They had known it all along
So they chose delay

Now bolstering him
Their queen would be in trouble
He could not be beat

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
