On Consent

I came to a realization this morning, after waking from possibly the purest sleep I've had in a long time: there are certain situations that really hit home for us, and can put us in a child like state. This is biblically referenced as well Matthew 18:3 "And he said: 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'" (NIV). This is a very vulnerable position, and makes anyone seeking to follow these words highly suggestible. I believe this was known from the start, by both darkness and light, also by angels and demons, and finally became clear to both woman and then men.

So if the score is to be settled, it must be settled by men (sorry ladies). It is because the jury is still out, the lawyer has yet to arrive in full, and God remains a silent observer until God's plan is realized in full on Earth.

Basically, when the outcry becomes so great, it will reach the Lord:

"Then the Lord said, 'The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.'” Genesis 18:20-21.

This story is not what it seems at all. It is not about homosexuality, but about rape, not-consentual forced action, spoken broadly.

I witnessed such action this Sunday and into Monday morning brutally and in full, while voluntarily visiting a mental health facility. It was evident in both the staff and patients, both sets involuntarily imprisoned. It took some time, but I feel like I made a difference while there, I pray that is true. Amen, and happy Tuesday!
