Au Revoir

Goodbye for a week
Near eternity will pass
As I walk alone

Will my own dreams come
Why bother remembering
Our nights spent apart

But space is needed
I know it is not much time
For separation

I am just a man
And solitude's tolerance
Seeps out every day

For this I refrain
My gates locked and phone turned off
I hope you'll be fine

If I'm sleepwalking
Shouting in the pouring rain
Please do not answer

If I call while drunk
Disregard me as many times
Ignore my peering

I hope there's a point
To this time of seclusion
My fingers are crossed
