A Simple Dream
Don the disguises!
Us octogenarians
Are hitting the town
Let them think we're cute
Have a ball putzing about
Our hands intertwined
We are so in love
That shines through at any age
And no autographs!
Not a selfie asked
The life we have gone without
By the light of day
We're just wearing hats
We can transform anytime
I'm alright right here
Sitting skin to skin
Like you want me forever
Your head on my shoulder
Sure they may smile
The word has gotten around
Of our little ruse
I will accept that
If smiling at old people
Is their only move
