The First Cheap Shot

Defenses side stepped
Desperation kicking in
Only hours past

Am I strong enough?
That's not the final issue
Life is but a dream

Will I remember
How to overcome myself
All these maneuvers

In the end, of course
That is the secret, none die
In one's own dreamscape

But time dilates
Till unrecognizable
Life from death and dream

I think a blessing
At least intended as such
But so incomplete

Annihilation
A soul reborn is one lost
Memory our shield

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
