Riddle of Rebirth

I have my walls, you know them well
Like imperceptible edges of a shell
She breaks them down, rough edges of my personality
And you all see a shift in reality

Can the man be retained
As his entirety remade
This is our common goal

Can a home be preserved
Better than is deserved
The process takes a toll

Each day we die a bit
Each day reborn
It's simple biology
You are not who you were before

Not crumbled not shattered
Each brick placed right where it matters
So they are gone and replaced at the same time
But is it possible, such a rhyme?

I say yes, and it seems so does she
Pray to God you can all believe
For if new walls can't stand in the sun
From Earth and Sea the end will come
