Chromatic Vision

Purple irises
You know they cannot be real
But how are they fake?

His smile so full
Like he won the lottery
Just by meeting you

That smile lingers
You cannot help but wonder
Who had possessed it

And so purple eyes
Swirl in your sweetest dreams
Keeping you awake

Had you seen true love
Before the look on his face?
It was hard to say

And what of logic?
It's like he needed it not
It was maddening

So you slipped through time
Seemingly a welcome spy
In inner sanctums

Green purple and green
His eyes never what they seem
But so familiar
