Lazy River

We each hear a song
Of fun despite loneliness
A summer anthem

My cousin shoots it
My friend and I act it out
Playing different roles

He plays the hero
I embody fun itself
Dancing wildly

Float down the river
With puppets along the way
The party grows still

I pull up the map
Finding our destination
And then we set off

An amphitheater
Set amidst a grassy plain
The concert venue

The tune continues
We are joined by a guest star
Ed Sheeran himself

He sings the next verse
Product of a broken road
Well versed with the tune

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
