Treeborn

Solid as the Oak
With a natural resistance
And petrified bark

As the dream state ends
The ironwood protector
Will remain behind

No one beyond reach
Branches shading the humble
And roots rooting out

Set your hearts with his
And find shelter from the storm
Even hollowed out

The sleepy hollow
Reversing the fearful states
Tree standing for hope

Cannot uproot him
Nor can his trunk be chopped down
Standard of honor

Honorable Ent
The essence of what remains
When memory fades

We salute to you
Fields of children in the storm
Our diligent shield
