The Trial Underway and Complete

"Commence the trial!
You have been accused of sin
The punishment: death.

Who will defend you
You who has broken the law
Which here has one price?

Here there is justice
Ignorance is no defense
Thanks to your father(s)."

"Then I call Jesus
My brother, completely pure."
Then Jesus arrived.

"This man has been cleared
Under the price I have paid
There is no more claim."

The judge simply nods
"Your counselor has spoken
His statement is true."

So I was granted
Not just reprieve, but entrance
To heavenly gates

As I walked through them
Brevity and due process
Took on a new light.

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
