A Confusion

To bear false witness
One of the Ten Commandments
Vile in God's eyes

To spread these rumors
Is like spreading vinegar
Onto one's own bed

This is where you lay
Now filled with maggots and lies
Your company kept

Why try God's patience?
Is it easier for you
Than facing the truth?

You feel you've hidden
Your flaws from The LORD our God
But He sees through all

Piercing through man's heart
Laying out his words to bear
Judging his actions

I hand this to God
As I do with (most/all) matters
To guide my next steps

I'll apologize
Whatever my part in this
Misunderstanding

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you.
