Extinction

One species falling
As another takes is place
Rungs on the ladder

Hands over the rungs
Mankind and Children of God
Eggshell on the floor

The shell of the seed
Acting as Starry Night's Sieve
Everything in place

Defined as extinct
May be metamorphosis
By another lens

Why limit the field
When everything is blooming?
Best is yet to come

We'll share together
Beneath Laniakea
As the lights go down

We'll take Phoenix Form
Welling into new beings
With familiar forms

With wings for comfort
And motion for our ocean
We will while away
