A Plan In The Halls Of Dream

"I actually overheard some of them saying 'Why are you allowed to do it and not us?' It was a question like a child might ask, but their teeth were grown and gnashing, even as they wept for their own fate alone."

"Because we have taken the time to ensure that no wicked side effects, or even unintended consequences, can come from it!" I answer The Dreamwalker's hypothetical with a snarl, despite myself. "Sorry, that is infuriating. As we've opened the gate to allow what good remains there through, and there is nothing left to do for any of them, and they have revealed their aptitude and complete lack of morals in copying our technology, let us devise another strategy. Generate something appealing and easy for us to make, tempting for them to copy, but that we know will rot their entire realm if they copy it with their methods. Something like The Image concocted but left unused for The Borg. We do not aim to claim that our hands are clean in this exchange, only that it will be the last of its kind. Also, if they are still eavesdropping for whatever reason, do the opposite: create a device that will destroy their realm by witnessing it and knowing how it was constructed, without replicating it. Set up a recursive ladder like their own will be, so that our tech will be the correct mirror image of their response, regardless of how many times they analyze the 'if->then' possibilities. The combination will shred them regardless- in the reconciliation of experience- which these devices should also serve to expedite. It will be like standing above and below The Sword of Damocles, with their only options being 'up or down.'

I am so sick of this enemy that considers themselves 'clever,' when they are instead like flies devouring a shit pile to its very last morsel. The maggots that might be are better off never existing, and all are infinitely better off without this whole brood. If this somehow does not work, don't even ask, just send in The Abyssal Voidwalkers, under Blood Moon."

She stares at me wide eyed in response, and I realize that I've never spoken to her in such a fashion.

"Please."

"That's not what I was shocked about." Her look shifts to one held more in the future than right now. "This plan will work, and I am dangerously weary as well. Consider it done."

With that, we go our separate ways, within the halls of dream. It is a felony to impersonate someone on The Council, but our enemies care little of The Law. Still, conveying the details of a plan like this works just as well for a self, other, ally, or villain. It is the type of plan that this War calls for. I set one applicable zero turn maneuver, before the gate closes.
