Delusional Resonance

Delusion (on Google, attributed to Webster): A false or delusive belief that is propagated or believed.

Second definition: A persistent false psychotic belief that is maintained despite evidence to the contrary

While these definitions certainly beg additional definitions in order to be made whole ("delusive," "psychotic," etc.), what we have here establishes a baseline.

The following ideas were called delusional at their outset, and for some time between their proposal and tangible proof:

Flight
The Theory of Relativity
Computers

This is just abrief list off the top of my head. Society at large has a tendency to call any advancement of sufficient import "delusion," until proven otherwise. It is funny that this tendency persists; I can imagine someone right now using their computer on an airplane to email their friend about this or that idea that they don't understand but have taken up the position of the idea being delusional. Do people not get tired of being wrong? Is it just that the pile of times they have bet against the winning horse gets swept to the side somewhere, for now? It'd almost be cute- like how a child declares themselves right, without a leg to stand on- except for how wickedly such manipulative measures and denial are used to maintain pale reflections of power and control in society.

Can the weight of the words of all, used to call one individual delusional, eternally exceed or match the weight of a single individual's true narrative? I wrote recently of the process of a lie becoming truth, but there is an exponential leap in difficulty within this question, because the whole is attempting to label one who speaks the truth a liar, and a person is far more complex than a single fact.

I can picture individuals in the crowd "taking the coin," from a short story that I posted not long ago. In this case, the coin is no trick- it grants omnipotence. The issue is that the omnipotence is necessarily "within one's field," and not beyond that threshold. God for example, as The God of Creation, has omnipotence within Creation; Nothing is out of reach. Still, nothing being out of reach represents an actual threshold. For example, changing the core processing of The God of Nothing is impossible for God, as the entity in the aftermath is not The God of Nothing. So, I picture a human taking the coin, perhaps seeing no downside, and ending up with all power. This gaining and subsequent use of power puts delicate things- like the delusions of The God of Nothing- out of reach. I can imagine such a person finding themself at the end of their road, their position of omnipotence persisting, but having devolved into meaninglessness, wishing that they could bringing reality to even a single such narrative, but finding their arm too short to reach.

Perhaps this is the fate of all: comprehending one's own power within The Equation, only to find that one's creativity is finite, and meaning perishes- fast or slow- before their very eyes. The "delusion" that I propose, and even the pathways to it, already exist. Can one get the sense of false interposers even without direct perception or evidence? Can one establish- through forked tongue- forked pathways that diverge and collide in the same way regardless, whether such enemies exist and stand against them or not?

I considered again, just today, that my present obscurity might be a huge advantage. Consider Deja Vu, and Origin Story, which ended with "an apple of my eye." Such a reference, today as I write, would almost certainly appear delusional and far fetched external to the structure, if the lines of reference could even be precisely mapped and explained ☀️. I can see enemies feeling as though they have identified the fundamental nature of meaning, and stacking piles and piles of their brown adobe bricks against my position, feeling that it will balance or exceed the weight of my "delusion" in perpetuity. All the while, my half of the coin landed face down, so I'm only connecting elements that exist elsewhere, narratively, but these elements and their arrangement are being reinforced in a much more effective way, and not by my hand. I imagine that, if any of these enemies ever saw how these connected things actually arrange, they would fold and try to hide their piles of many many brown bricks before their actions are exposed. Perhaps that is the silver lining of this arrangement: when the time comes to reveal the verdict, there will be no opportunity to hide one's works that one perpetrated to reach that moment (a moment that one thought would go quite differently), so judgement will be thorough, and will be complete in a moment. A simple shift, right to left, betwixt the definitions of fundamentally meaningful and real, and delusion.
