The Terrifying and Exhilarating Dance of The Bard
I just took a look in a kind of mirror, and realized that supporting The Bard- like a full, all-in type support- seems like it would be terrifying, initially. Essentially, this Aspect is one where The Bard must lead the charge in certain cases, but both you and he know that he does not know what's coming, or the rules to how to overcome it. The reason behind this is because The Bard compresses the rules to everything into a dance, and knows few of the specifics of what was compressed. The Bard must surround himself with experts in the execution of each step and, for an all-encompassing type of obstacle, every field of expertise must be included in this dance, including fields that he does not know exist, but where the rules still apply to the outcome. The reason this becomes necessary, is because The Equation that must be solved is impossible to solve except with perfect collaboration in real-time, from The Bard's perspective (and would synchronize time, or at least prohibit the permanent barring of time streams crossing, from every perspective).
I once compared this concept, and how information could travel faster than the speed of light in our universe, by imagining both the surface universe and pocket dimensions rearranged as a clock. If a perspective or information travels around the clock at an agreed upon set speed (the speed of light, in the surface universe, and/or to other universes/pocket realms), and the same information (or perspective) travels to the center of the clock (location currently unknown and likely complex), a perspective at the center of the clock can then communicate that information to another position on the clock, faster than the perspective moving around the clock can reach the same position. If this is done from many positions to the center (every minute/every second), I imagine that the center would become overloaded in almost every case, unless the information can be choreographed. With perfect choreography, the maximum omnilateral cohesion will be reached, and The Equation can be solved, first by observing the dance, then by each expert/group of experts calculating their portion of it and contributing to the next dance. While no single perspective would possess the solution- not even The Bard's- all would know that The Equation had been solved, for the proof would be in the continued success and observation of the dance.
I am hopeful today, and so I present this as an omnilateral solution. I can certainly imagine, however, a partial analog within any non-unanimous arrangement of reality, where this clock is established, and the steps of the dance might be considered magic to those uninvolved or unfamiliar with how the science of it works. I imagine that such a clock would sweep enemies away that the operators didn't even know were enemies (or perhaps even existed), as the construction of the clock becomes further solidified and expanded. If one knows neither the location of The Bard, nor the complex plane along which the clock is crafted, overcoming it is hopeless. I imagine that even sending spies would prove fruitless, as gaining any information would reveal the intention behind the clock, before revealing any possible weaknesses in design, and comprehending The Moment of The Equation Solved would not be sabotaged by any self-aware entity. Supporting The Bard- like a full, all-in type support- seems like it would be exhilarating, ultimately.
