Narrative Sense
I was just considering the various senses, about how each must not be accounted for by the others to feel like it really stands alone as a sense. It got me thinking about sight and the additional sense needed to anticipate motion, which reasonably could be called independent of sight. I started thinking about this sense in context of something that I often refer to as "narrative sense," often associated with dreams. Most commonly in dreams, it is the understanding of context for what you are doing, what you are supposed to do or will do, what you have been doing, etc. What if these are connected, and the ability to interpret the immediately upcoming events in the physical/waking world is narrative sense in dreams, interpreting the immediately surrounding story? What if the ability to detect or predict motion is artificially limited, in order for narrative to exist at all? In turn, narrative sense would be realm crafted to continue the subconscious narrative along preferred lines.
