Seeping Into Perfect Communication
I was considering again today the connection between Babel and the gift of tongues granted by the Holy Spirit in the upper room, as I have been exposing myself to other languages more frequently as of late. It started initially by thinking that hearing another language and seeing the subtitles connected to them could form a kind of translation matrix within my subconscious mind. Then I considered that, with this gift being possible, this matrix would already potentially exist, though it has not manifested consciously for be. Today these ideas evolved some.
I realized that this gift of the Holy Spirit could exist already within my subconscious mind, understanding foreign words on that level already, as if they were in my native tongue. I also considered that the language scattering at Babel feels like a layer, a locking, added to communication by the LORD, and that, prior to this, communication may not have even been verbal in the way that it is presently. While the Holy Spirit can unlock this layer fully and all at once, languages are learned readily by young children, and can be learned by adults, so the lock is by no means full proof, nor is it meant to be. I am now seeing the parallels between this concept and the difference in the brain that is observable in someone who has multiple first languages, and someone who learns a second or more language later in life. Permeating this divine layer and accessing this brain structure later in life may be equivalent concepts.
For now I am considering how drawn I have been to certain lyrics, only to read their English translations later and realize that the meaning of these lyrics resonates shockingly well with some of the structures I have in mind, structures I have not heard English lyrics speak to so directly. Again my mind is drawn to my subconscious understanding these things immediately, and drawing me to certain songs/bands. I have even noticed emotional responses within myself, prior to understanding consciously why this might be the case, in notable cases extreme responses. It feels like a seeping into this space of perfect communication, perhaps marking the ending phase of The LORD's initial concern in Genesis 11:6 "The Lord said, 'If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.'"
