The sun is setting
O'er a soft blanket of clouds
On a quite short day

"Unobserved Christmas"
What else might I call today
My door yet unknocked?

Dream counterpoints this
Suggesting observation
If focused, is found

"Do you remember?"
Coat falls and I watch you leave
As threads gently stitch

Is a flag enough?
Does one node help you locate
Where I really am?

Amidst static sea
Possibly disguised as me
Singing/Humming/Whistling as you dream?

Do these flags ignite
Bonfires in fallow fields
On your side of town?

I can't help but think
(What/If) words might lead you to me
(Even) As I rest (today)

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
