Thanksgiving Midnight

"Happy Thanksgiving!"
Still full-sized in the rear view
Holiday well spent

Our amazing dream
Like a flock of birds returned
With needle and thread

It staved off the thought
That we may have time to wait
Till you meet me here

Until the walk home
Not even midnight
But the skies were dark

A lingering thought
Like walking down hotel row
Occurs to me now

"What if I just knock?"
Yes, "this is ridiculous"
"Yes. Absolutely."

Dream comes again soon
Control ever improving
Focus soars as well

How can you stand it
Seeing what you did today
And staying away?

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
