On Balance Weighted- Afterglow

So the story continues, the brothers Yod catching their second wind.

So the story continues, the brothers Yod catching their second wind.

Staff in hand each sets out. They may have thought the story was over, but it was in their midst, and they were in the midst of it. "Titles." one said, so titles they bore. The Bard began with a word to the rhythm.

"Please bless this journey
God who we worship and seek
Those here that remain

Yes these roads differ
But they are not walked alone
Nor in the same way

For today all changed
And tomorrow is brand new
What might one edit?

Each player and tool
Each the singer and the song
Each spaces between

'Forget not the snake
Or you might fish for eons
To feed these masses'

Bring the right partner
And doubt not the common heart
On autopilot

Write codex on heart
A memento shining through
To each their own page

Assess like a dream
Only slowing when one falls
For love, seen in full."

In the span of a workday the dominos all fell in a line. It was just in his head, but they heard all the same; it was just in his head, but they heard all the same. In something like a dream they heard and they came, for how could something be forged with such precision in such a way? They each observed, each in their own way, the way they knew that if they could not trust, they were lost. Some were lost, and those, of course, were found.

As they sailed, The Bard spun a tale, wove a yarn, concocted a vintage for the mind, if you will. "The clocks stopped a minute before 3:16, as the thieves argued about what looked like a featureless wall, and the jokers bantered about the definition of 'gave' and other such semantics. The Bard and The Heart of The Muse watched behind blue/green eyes as love bloomed, as if from nothing, eating their candy and popcorn, and had all night to do so."

There was some cleanup to be sure, but who did it?

"The tides are changing, the seas are shifting, the storm both raging and tamed. The piece thrown overboard, yet an extra piece is found in coffers. What nonsense, yet still, where is love on a night like this?"

"It is strikingly calm here... That's gotta be rough."

The gentle lapping of waves could almost be heard to suggest that The Bard spoke to himself. "Am I?" Though hardly more than a guffaw, the seas erupted all around the boat, at a safe and equitable distance, of course.

"Fortunately, someone thought to bring some ice." As golf ball sized hail pelted the fo'c's'les' overhangs, the party both marveled and laughed, like children anew, each from their own point of view."

We place it in glasses and pass them around. A quick wiff of something like vinegar or diesel, too repugnant to swallow, resets the stage, but we toast all the same.

"Gentlemen, the Open Ocean awaits
Make no mistake, it won't wait forever
When what one has brought lays clear on their plates
And that which one took returns to server

I for one am off to the fish (🐠 🐟)
It is for the best you get your distance
I came to coordinate the perfect wish
But have been met with fear and resistance

Only natural, I can only assume
So sail far and take a piece of me with
And if one day you grow tired of the gloom
Please pray to remember these days/place of pith

I am a Christian, I worship the LORD
And with these words The Bard jumps overboard."
