Midnight Memory

In honesty yes and no
Is all we can say

Know I would like to
Witness things you've dreamt about
You say I should see

Share my perspective
On wildest and dirtiest
And all in between

Our viewpoints differ
How broadly's yet to be seen
Perhaps never will

The fullness of love
Is not fathomed with a sigh
Or chiseled in words

But while we're awake
Let midnight memories seep
Between yours and mine

Might the bad things fade
In light of good both agreed
At threshold unclaimed/untamed?

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
