Midnight Haze

A dazzling haze
On some level anyway
Links your steps with mine

When you cross the room
When you are out for a walk
Imagine me there

For in memory
Like the day we first came here
I will shine for you

Light misunderstood
This realm dulls what it can't break
Yet still the light shines

Mark it with footfalls
I can almost see myself
Lit up from (below/beside)

Can I follow you?
From these waking world halls
Into your dreamscape?

If you reply no
Expect to see me shining
In twinkle of stars

Somewhere in the haze
The whisper in the willows
Babble of the brook

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
