The sun is shining
On this hot 4th of July
(Actually this time)

A three day weekend
So foreign to me these days
As to misguide me

3rd full of parties
Today just a shopping trip
Switch to slip the pen

My dream seems to show
That this was done on purpose
A (false) weakness found

A riposte given
It seems unexpectedly
But enemy spared

"Bless those who curse you" (Luke 6:28)
Echoes for me every day
Maybe now instinct

Thank you Lord for this
Heart for God unthwartable
Strong arm extended

Extended for peace
Without it this does not end
Once found, all hopes bloom

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
