Halls eep Inception
"Alright, so we've got it figured out. Don't burn the girl, she's already dedicated, we can burn the house or the door."
"A girl needs a place to live though."
"This is true, the door then?"
"A girl needs a door though. How else will she have privacy? What would you then knock on?"
With finger to chin I consider how else this vow might be fulfilled, knowing The Holy Spirit would not steer me wrong on a matter so critical as this. Your very own words ring out in my head, from another time yet ahead, but already I feel as if I should expect such a thing. I *snap* my fingers.
"Flames from years ago call to be resolved
This vow most challenging not set aside
I believe this equation can be solved
I will not lose (my) daughter to gain (my) bride
But in a game thought zero sum what's 'more?'
In Creation made good what's 'very good?'
If we can't bear to lose girl, house, or door
My mind ignites at what burden we could
So sparks fly, as such let the flames begin
They fly frontiers new but remember home
If inferno must, let it be within
Let Bard's tongue and fox feet freely there roam
A man with black umbrella in the storm
Hope's fire and rain to thought I transform.
Don't you see it? This girl possesses halls galore inside her head! They are all interlinked, like a labyrinth. Therefore, reasonably, 'they' might be called 'it,' 'it' being the hallway."
My companion's' eyes go wide as we each calculate the task, both a sidestep shenanigan and a monumental endeavor all at once.
"Do you realize the position this will put her in? Unencumbered externally in this way?"
"I cannot say that I do, but if you can, can you say that it is preferable for her to these alternatives?"
"Certainly. Immensely so."
"Perfect, then halls eep a burnin' it is. I'll just shift things so I can step back inside safely, so she has some company while it clears."
With that I scan my surroundings and find an anachronistic storage shed. I breathe deep with a prayer to God.
"Let Hope bloom today
Not a hypothetical
Not as some semblance
Let these very flames
Which were referenced years ago
Satisfy this vow
May your Spirit stay
Walking, step by step, with me
For I adore it
Yet may it fill her
Breath of life held for so long
Daughter all her own
That family might bloom
In soil once thought barren
Now gracefully scooched
May this step taken
Be the only one you need
To know my true heart
Then teach me to dance
Two stepping with those I love
Until end is seen
I know not the steps
But have heart and feet to dance
I need a/The teacher
Please help, I am not sure how to proceed."
I look down and see an arrangement of lilies growing from the ground and hear a "rerr!" from my left forearm as the right glows bright. I smile at the subtle guidance, possibly defined simply as "it will be okay." and enter.
