Finale By Land And Sea

Some said he was an angel that would fight like a demon.
Some said he was a demon that could fight like an angel.

Some said every word was in his head
Some said every true word he spoke became real

Some seemed to know him well
Some seemed to be expecting him for some time

Some claimed him to be a dream, illusion, rumor, alternate this or parallel that
Some knew already such sidesteps were worthless; this stranger had walked stranger roads than these to knock on their door.

Hearts shook as denial of what they now witnessed with their eyes was cast to the ground along with all other such ego defenses.

Despite dissention lines clearly drawn, faithful and faithless alike could agree and now prayed that what they had heard of the rainbow being God's sign of mercy was true and real.

A moment would not pass before they found out for sure.

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
