Sonnet of Synchronized Watches

It's starting to feel like I am waking
Your eyes gaining focus on the river
Through this grand waterpark we are snaking
Each sometimes receiver, sometimes giver

Both message and bottle sent against stream
Have we ever been concerned by "the rules?"
No beginning traced in page song or dream
Only ending eager etched by these tools

The days grow longer with you on my mind
As if tangible analogies seen
With important timekeeping intertwined
To ensure transition is smooth and clean

Know I have always endeavored to stay
'Twas not about Christmas, but New Year's Day.

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you.
