Narrative Slip

It's strange, I'm sitting here wide awake and I got a sensation that is familiar to me, but only from dreams. There is a moment, usually in a stupid work dream or a ridiculous school dream where the narrative pushes a bit too far (a "cheat" I sometimes say, but nothing so obvious to pinpoint in these cases usually) and all at once I realize it is stupid to continue what I'm doing. It's not that I say "work sucks!" throw up my hands and quit, it is not anything as intentional as this, it is also not that I necessary "realize it is a dream," it is like the exhaustion with the narrative results in slipping it. In this slipping the apparent binds of the realm often break as well, resulting in me getting superpowers and completely changing the course of the dream, doing as I'd like. Even without superpowers, the narrative ends up dramatically shifting to compensate, generally with something more engaging for me (moves in the other direction in this state result almost certainly in superpowers or me just zoning out/waking up, both of which mean the end of the narrative or at least my interaction/interest with it).

It is the shift that I feel like I have never registered consciously, though it was familiar as soon as I felt it- relaxing causes the narrative to lose its grip, and the balance of power to shift in my favor (be it up or out). I cannot recall ever feeling this while awake before, but if this logic holds that would make sense, because I only ever remember feeling it once per dream, at which point the narrative changes, usually with superpowers, and then there is no longer a situation where this might be necessary again, as there is nothing tangibly binding to "slip." Understandably this thought and thought pattern are sticking with me now, and I will add updates as I dwell.

Translating this to waking terms and accounting for superpowers being my term for Gifts of The Holy Spirit in dreams, I wonder if this slip has to do with the effects of agreement taking hold (and perhaps the effects disagreement being slipped). In this way the narrative of the world would quickly fall, all at once as a complicated narrative and a simple one are equivalent from the perspective of this slipping, and the result might be precisely the same here as in a dream. After all, Jesus does say in John 14:12 "'Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.'" in reference to miracles, so there is biblical support to assuming gifts beyond, or at least at the limit of, our imagination are within reach. Coupled with Luke 17:21 "'...the kingdom of God is in your midst.'" it would seem to mean these things are already inside, waiting to be unlocked, in the same manner that such a narrative slipping would indicate.

On the topic of slipping, this is reminding me of Isaac's blessing to Esau in Genesis 27:40, specifically "'But when you grow restless,
    you will throw his yoke
    from off your neck.'"
If this narrative (yoke) is not God's doing, but a remnant of Jacob's, then this specific blessing was always designed to be manifested at the end, a loophole, as it were, in the contract that establishes the narrative of this world. I have long considered that God does not reject even those who reject his gifts, and threading the potential of this blessing in with the parable of the prodigal son, would rejoice in and celebrate the return of one missing. Coupling it further with the notion that it was known from the beginning how corrupt the entire system would be at the end, such a loophole would be precisely what is required to spark an end that is not damning for all, as such a loophole successfully resulting in a single "narrative slip" as I describe would be enough to change the entire world. Moreover, in the fashion in which I describe it, this carefully orchestrated slip would be enough to cause a chain reaction of slips, resulting in the world being unrecognizable, in the best possible way, once the process was completed.

This is extremely exciting.
