It Is Quiet

I just put a bug outside and it is quiet, extremely quiet. It may be a lack of background noise combined with a high humidity, but it felt ominously quiet. In addition, the lights outside my house are off tonight for some reason, so it is very dark, and very quiet. It was strangely exhilarating. I know silence can be used as a sign, per Revelation 8:1 "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." I am just curious if that was what was happening here or what... It felt too quiet to be natural.

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
