Between Sword and Stone
If something can be broken
Simply by understanding it
Can such a thing be considered complete?
I suspect there is a soundness
To that which is perfect
As such secrets seem signal of weakness
Such a sharp sword separates
Though there is comfort in some softness
A beauty to some ignorance
Does a sword cut on its own?
Does a soldier choose his battlefield?
Does a general declare war?
If war is declared let the sword cut to perfection
If mercy is requested let doctor determine cuts with precision
If neither, let those in charge deal with it
But never claim soundness
If you will not place your work on the table
Between sword and stone.
