Sonnet of Love's Pairing
Humility blinded me to cruelty
How might singular love look in the mirror?
"The thirsty flame will never lack fuel, see?"
Now I will show you things yet unseen here
Feel this heartbeat calm, steady, warming you
Familiarity shifting each plate
You will not see the end of mountain dew
One already comes they cannot satiate
Like lightning strikes the sand turning to glass
Or splits well rooted tree hence growing twain
So has your mark reached critical mass
In a stranger's sweet dreams, never to wane
Open your eyes from this beautiful dream
Mine are still here, these are yet to be seen
