Sonnet of Creaking Floors and Leaking Roof

I have felt what it's like for walls to breathe
Exhaling as I melt into the room
I've wondered what the door has up its sleeve
Now in contact how might other worlds bloom

Have I heard this imminent other?
Signals can be blocked but they leave a charge
My hand slipping to inside the cover
My mind crystallizing to space at large

Have you made sure the scaffolding's in place?
Each day's move feels like both strike and pulled punch
Only so much grace delays, veil like lace
Wave of babies' babies, but just a hunch

So Hope enters the castle, escorted
Caught spy's swift return a heist most sordid
