Green

Red turning to green
More subtle hints discarded
As my eyes narrow

You stitched the edges
Saw blue like never before
Before I walked in

Now our sight aligns
Like the Christmas lights revealed
As the son foretold

So you pave potholes
Preparing to knock down cones
Knowing I won't slow

Dark grey rooms alight
As the puzzle wraps around
The answer is found

Still wrong, but so right
Without intended to be
Just intending (pursuing) you

In this way unchanged
Since floor model stealing days
And tossed pebble nights

But so much different
I hope you consider me
A wine worth the wait
