The Cake (was) a lie?

I just pictured a kind of ultimate gauntlet type scenario, but the specific path of preparation taken and realm crafting involved was not generally accounted for or and had never been seen before and so it ends up being a kind of unintentional comedy. 

"Everyone's watching, you must somehow remove this entire... cake. I guess it's just a... yep. It's just a regular sized cake, german chocolate even, your favorite. Okay, you must remove this entire cake from its serving tray before that... candle burns out."
"But the candle isn't lit?"
"Nope."
"Do I have to wait for you to light it before I can start?"
"I can't 'light it', only you were allowed to 'light it' and you never did so... whatever enjoy your cake."
"What was this dire challenge even supposed to be!?"
"No one wants me to answer that, just eat the dang cake."

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to?
