What is a promise?
What form is a covenant
Save intertwining?

These root tendrils bind
Life threading together life
Beneath the surface

By the time it sprouts
Its mark is indelible
Its claim has been staked

In this state guided
Unseen by the light of day
But within God's grasp

Deep in God's domain
Agreement is made like flesh
It will not be moved

Although kings may try
It is their land they tear up
These roots unfettered

The kudzu will rage
Despite the flame or the flood
A blaze all its own

It was made this way
To persist when all else fails
Then bloom rampantly

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you.
