Rest and remember
All the broken cobblestones
The sins forgiven

Still I walk the path
The earth has not given out
God did not depart

For better or worse
The records important
Of each step taken

It gets easier
Still refusing to give up
Standing once again

The records retain
Each gifted cup of water
And every kind word

Cobblestone patches
The path becomes more stable
And balance improves

The goat sure footed
Even when the path is clear
Of snares and boulders

These lessons still learned
Even though the tears have dried
And the sun rises

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
