Stormy Skies, Tumultuous Tides
The storm lingering
Not a downpour, dark skies chilled
Reminds me of home
The snow encroaching
More a sheet than a blanket
Hinting more to come
But still I emerge
Am I past disappointment?
Besides, I'm hungry.
So I don my garb
Prepared like weeks have not seen
Taking my old seat
I think about her
What are you thinking my love?
How does the gap ache?
I feel the distance
But with the war in your hands
How much more must you!
I can only wait
But you must choose not to come
And partake with me
The vintage ferments
With rapidity unmatched
Will the casks hold firm?
