Calling The Storm

They burned it all down
They thought flashes would resolve this
They were very wrong

For what threat are flames
To even a young Phoenix?
But they did something

In that one moment
Between your death and rebirth
I could feel my storm

I cursed your leaving
Dark words echoed on dark nights
I wished for you back

It was helpless rage
And world ending despair
Solitary hell

Can one know themself
Without time spent abandoned?
I will never know

What I know is this
These lessons have been ample
To mold my true form

Why can't you come home?
Let me write down paths and halls
And here is your key
