Sonnet of Love's Binding

Oh artifice of choice, in search of love!
So tangible, yet shown to be untrue
Eternity's prison, fits like a glove
But, for me, only by the light of you

So let me marry choice and compulsion
With neither will I share this timeless stage
Instead granting each their own devotion
So love may walk atop, in every age

If you will not have me, how can I be?
Not in life, dream, or death would I find rest
Did I choose to cast my choice to the sea?
Or did compulsion my surrender test?

Hope swells within that the point is now moot
For fleet fox feet stomp toward those that refute
