Contingent Surrender

If it is not incorrect to say then I offer
If I have misread these stars somehow
If I have eavesdroped your call to another
It will be okay

I will never be okay with any answer but you and I
But if it is your wish then let me fade
If you are someone else's soulmate let me go
Annihilated softly sung to sleep

If it can be okay this way then let it be suggested
Let these words be your proof of my surrender
If I am to bow out it must be completely
I must not remember or be, for I will be back

On instinct I seek you, mindlessly reinforcing
From nothing I find you, inevitably
But I would never willingly compel the one I love
That thought feels worse than this fate proposed

Should I stay or should I go?
These words contingent upon their need
It is your choice, if choice is requested
Forever yours, if I was not meant to be so
